Ruben LeBlanc: Why I am running for Senate District 22
Published 12:00 am Sunday, January 9, 2011
My name is Ruben T. LeBlanc and was born on Feb. 12, 1958 , (Abraham Lincoln’s birthday). I have 5 sister and 2 bothers. My father ( Matthew Sr.) was a welder/farmer and my mother (Marion T.) was a waitress/cook. Myself I come from a construction/oilfield background. I went back to school and got my G.E.D, then an Associates Degree and in 1992 while working 3 jobs and taking 21 hours, I received my Bachelors Degree from USL.
The reason I got involved in this race: I could not let this country be destroyed without a fight. I knew that Simone, Fred and possibly David were running and I wasn’t going to sit back and scream at the TV, that “someone should do something”. I decided to be that “someone”. I was told early on, the big money was going to Fred, Simone and David in that order. When I looked over their list of donors, I felt like I was reading the NY Stock Exchange. I am not willing to roll over and let District 22 be sold to the highest bidder. I challenge others to be that “someone” too. I want more people to run for public office and because I’m not asking others to do what I’m not willing to do, I became a candidate. I will support constitutional candidates like myself, locally, statewide and nationally. Our Creator gave us certain unalienable rights, those rights are not granted by government. The Creator created us, and We the people created government. The created is never greater than the Creator. I implore, We the people of District 22, to wake up and take control. We are the generation that must restore this country. Please Vote #3 for Ruben LeBlanc for State Senate or one of the two other candidates.
