Students at Magnolia Elementary recently participated in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Math-A-Thon program recently and raised $3443 to help children battling cancer and other deadly diseases at St. Jude.

“We are very proud of our students for working so hard to raise money for St. Jude through Math-A-Thon,” said Phyllis Martin, coordinator of the event.  “Our school, students and community have helped St. Jude in its work to find cures and save children.”

Now in its 30th year, Math-A-Thon is one of America’s largest education-based fundraisers.  More than 10,000 schools across the country participate in the program.  Math-A-Thon is also one of the most successful fundraising campaigns for St. Jude, having raised nearly $400 million since its inception.
