Gardes — Beaullieu

Catherine O’Bannon Gardes and Charles Dearen Beaullieu were married Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at the Immaculata Chapel in Lafayette. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stephen Gardes of Lafayette. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Alphonse “Buster” Beaullieu of New Iberia.

Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. Louis J. Richard.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an Yvonne LaFleur strapless gown of diamond silk shantung in light ivory. The diagonal sheering at the torso gathered in trumpet style and was knotted at the hip. Above the French bustle, silk corded lacing embellished the back of the gown. A Swarovski crystal and pearl appliqué adorned the top of the bodice.

For her headpiece, she wore a delicate, layered waist-length illusion veil edged with silk piping.

Serving as matrons of honor were Ramsey Gardes Ayers, sister of the bride, and Kaci Smith Beaullieu, sister-in-law of the groom. Flower girl was Caroline Ayers, godchild of the bride.

Best men were G.A. “Beau” Beaullieu IV and Paul Beaullieu, brothers of the groom. Ring bearers were G.A. “Beau” Beaullieu V and Thomas Beaullieu, nephews of the groom, and Parker Ayers, nephew of the bride.

Readers were Mary-Alizabeth Beaullieu and Emma Beaullieu, nieces of the groom, and Jennifer Doerle.

Musicians were Cindy Habetz and Tommy Benoit.

A dinner reception was held at City Club River Ranch, Room Eleven Hundred in Lafayette.

Following a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
