Funeral service for Mr. Willie A. “Billy” Thibodeaux, 54, will be conducted on Friday, January 14, 2011, at 2 p.m. in David Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Phillip Hawks officiating.  Entombment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the United States Marine Corps and V.F.W. Post 1982 Honor Guard. Visitation will be Friday, January 14, 2011, from 9 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Thibodeaux passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011, while visiting San Andres Island, Colombia.

“Billy,” as he was affectionately known by many, was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia.  “Billy” was a Chef by profession and loved cooking for his family and friends. Mr. Thibodeaux proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

Survivors include his father, Roland Thibodeaux, and wife, Audrey, of Lydia; mother, Frances La’Jaunie St. Pierre, and husband, Harry, of Lafayette; sons Roland L. Thibodeaux and wife, Brittany, of Lydia and Micah Thibodeaux of Lydia; one daughter Michelle Thibodeaux of Saucier, Miss.; two stepsons Dale Lachausse and Kyle Simoneaux both of New Iberia; three sisters Wanda Loflin and husband, Joel, of New Iberia, Cindy Bouton and husband, Barry, of Lydia and Debbie Frank and husband, Julian, of Lydia; three grandsons Izzac Thibodeaux, Nathan Hebert and Jordan Morgan; and his loving fiancée Mercedes Gomez Nieto of Carjagena, Colombia.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roland L. Thibodeaux, Micah Thibodeaux, Dale Lachausse, Christopher Frank, Lory Thibodeaux and Matthew Hebert.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steven Bouton, Scotty Hebert, Jonathan Hebert, Kyle Simoneaux, Henry Crochet and Preston Toups.
