Margaret Jean Reedom Mouton

uneral Services will be conducted Saturday January 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Margaret Jean Reedom Mouton, 70, who passed away Friday, January 7, 2011, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Interment will be at Sacred Heart cemetery.

She was a native of New Iberia and a resident of Lake Charles. Mrs. Mouton was a retired teacher of the Calcasieu Parish School Board, having taught at Washington High School and Sulphur High School, an avid gardner, crafter and took pride in cooking and creating special dishes. She was a member of the Lakettes bowling league.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Daniel Mouton; a son Patrick Mouton (LaTosha) of Westlake; a daughter Myra Mouton of Lafayette; a granddaughter Soleigha; and grandson Noah both of Westlake; five brothers George Reedom (Laura) of San Antonio, Texas, James Patric Reedom and Marshall Reedom Jr. (Iris) of Fort Worth, Texas, John Reedom (Paula) and Robert Reedom, both of New Iberia; four sisters Elizabeth Harris (Artis Sr.), Dorothy Reedom, Lillian Reedom and Jackie Reedom all of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Lewis Reedom and Marshall Reedom Sr.; and two sisters Martha Lizana, Gloria White and a nephew David K. Reedom Sr.

Pallbearers will be Robert Perryman Jr., Artis Harris Jr., Arlen Harris, Langston White, Marshall Reedom III and Jerome Jean. Honorary pallbearers are George Reedom, Marshall Reedom Jr., James Patrick Reedom, John Reedom, Robert Reedom, Daniel Pierre, Artis Harris Sr., Arick Harris and Damian Joseph.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
