As I tried to think of what I could say to all the generous persons who contributed to the “Help the Helpers” project, I remembered the Chinese Proverb:

“Give a (person) a fish and you feed (him/her) for a day. Teach a (person) to fish and you feed (him/her) for a lifetime.”

This is certainly true of our mission at Progressive Education Program Inc. (PEPI). We strive to make a difference in the lives of our adult learners, their families and the community. However, we cannot do it alone. With recent budget cuts in education, our financial needs are even greater.

We are most grateful to each of you who have contributed to the “Help the Helpers” project. You have chosen a positive way to make a difference in the lives of others and thereby make a difference in our community.
