Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2011, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Glen “Bean” Broussard, 55, who passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, in Jeanerette.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.
Born on November 25, 1955, in Jeanerette, Mr. Broussard was a farmer and sugar mill worker at the St. Mary Co-Op.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Picard Broussard, of Jeanerette; sons Chad Broussard of New Iberia, Kevin Broussard and Bruce Broussard both of Jeanerette; daughter Tracie B. Copp of Jeanerette; step children Jace Stevens of Victoria, Texas, Billy Stephens, David Stephens and Robert Stevens all of Jeanerette; brothers Rickey D. Moore of Loreauville, Whitney Broussard of Erath, Calvin Broussard of Carencro, Garland Broussard of Labadieville; sister Rosalind Richmond of West Virginia; grandchildren Matthew, Ryan, Zachary, Erin, Troy and Carli Broussard, Kylee Copp and one due to arrive in August; step-grandchildren Bailey, Tyler, Emma Virginia, Jonathan, Megan and Layne Stevens, Dylan Romero, Zachary and Nicholas Scofield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Pearl Boullion Broussard; brothers Roland and Dalton Broussard; sister Rachel Broussard; and a nephew Rickey Moore, II.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
