Hanson holds off Blue Stream, 11-6

Hanson scored 10 runs in the second inning, then held off a late rally as the Tigers beat Catholic High-based Blue Stream Services 11-6 Wednesday in summer league baseball at Catholic High.

The Tigers’ 10-run outburst were a result of eight Blue Stream walks, two errors and two hits as Hanson rallied from a 2-1 deficit to take a 10-2 lead, then held on for the win.

For Blue Stream, Joe Dworaczyk continued his hot hitting with one hit and a run scored in two at bats . Tim Worsham had two hits and also scored a run and Cameron Gonsoulin had a hit.

Gabe Fusilier reached base three times on three walks and scored all three times.

Jason Pellerin went 12⁄3 innings for Blue Stream, Phillip Viator pitched 21⁄3 innings and Peyton Pharr pitched an inning in the loss.

No statistics were available for Hanson.

Catholic High plays Assembly Christian at Acadian Park today at 5 p.m.

Hanson travels to Delcambre for a 5 p.m. contest.
