Ice Box Pickles

4 cups sugar

10 – 12 medium cucumbers (sliced)

1 tablespoon mustard seed

1/2 cup salt

4 cups vinegar

1 1/2 tablespoon turmeric

1 onion sliced 

1 tablespoon celery seed

Combine all ingredients (will almost fill gallon jar).

 Keep in refrigerator.  Stir once every day or two for two

weeks. Will keep one year in refrigerator.
