Lafayette Post of Duty Task Force Agent Chad Hazelwood of Loreauville was the recent recipient of “Louisiana Narcotics Agent of the Year” during the Louisiana Narcotics Officers Association’s annual conference.

Last year he was responsible for taking down a Hispanic drug traffic organization operating from Mexico. The cases were recognized as part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.

The conference was held in New Orleans and the keynote speaker was Colonel Michael Edmonson of the Louisiana State Police.
