Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Paul Toups, the former Pauline LaSalle, 88, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday, December 26, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. until service time.

A native of Abbeville and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Toups died Sunday, December 25, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Consolata nursing home in New Iberia.

She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary. Mrs. Toups enjoyed sewing and dancing.

Survivors include her children Myrlene T. Cuccio and husband, Frank, Joseph Steven Toups, Gloria T. Mahoney and Allie Elizabeth T. Cuccio, all of New Iberia, and Roger L. “Ricky” Toups and wife, Pat, of Sulphur; one brother Eldis LaSalle of Kaplan; and three sisters Paula L. Campbell of Port Arthur, Texas, Rosa Belle Turner of Kaplan and Emma Lou Landry of New Iberia; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Toups; her parents, Ambrose LaSalle and Marie Anastasia Roy LaSalle; her daughter Dorothy T. Morvant; and her brothers Roy, Paul, Jimmy and Ambrose LaSalle Jr.

Pallbearers will be Mark Mahoney, Freddie Paul Louviere, Shane and Wayne Toups and Charlie and Seth Hugonin.

Eldis LaSalle will be an honorary pallbearer.
