Gail & Whitie’s Homemade Salsa

3 large ripe tomatoes, diced small
1 onion, finely chopped

1 green pepper, minced
2 jalapeno peppers, minced
1 clove garlic
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup Italian dressing
1 teaspoon lime juice
Fresh parsley or cilantro chopped fine
All of the vegetables, except tomatoes, may be chopped in food processor. Tomatoes are best if chopped by hand or diced.
Mix all ingredients together and store in airtight container. Best if left to marinate for three or more days. Can be stored in refrigerator for up to two weeks. Serve with tortilla chips.
