Katie Elizabeth LaBiche and Scott Louis Wattigny were married Saturday, April 21, 2012, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Kimberly LaBiche of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Louis Wattigny of New Orleans and Kathi Wattigny, also of New Orleans.
The Rev. Patrick Wattigny of New Orleans, the godfather of the groom, officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory-colored simmering satin with a corset back. The sweetheart neckline was accented with Swarovski crystals under the bodice and the dress was finished with a bubble hem.
She carried a bouquet of white and blush roses, deep purple mini calla lilies accented with green hypericum berries. The stems were wrapped in ivory-colored satin ribbon and adorned with a brooch of the bride’s great-grandmother.
Serving as maid of honor was Sydney LaBiche, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Riley Migues, Brittany Boutte, Krysten Sokol and Cheryl Campesi. Flower girl was Emma Wattigny, cousin of the groom.
Serving as best man was Al Smith. Groomsmen were Sean Santos, Justin White, Josh Pastor and Phil LeBlanc. Ring bearer was Maddox Stockstill, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Eric Doran, Brandon Couvillion and John Klemenakis.
A reception for family and friends was held at The Magdalen Place in Abbeville.
Following a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in New Orleans.
