Teche League set

Six Teche Area girls’ basketball teams will take part in 2012 Teche League girls’ basketball summer action at the participating schools’ gyms in June and July, according to information provided by New Iberia Senior High girls’ basketball head coach Robert Pinckney.

Each team will host one of the weekly sessions, held each Thursday in June with games at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The final two sessions are Tuesday, July 10 and Thursday, July 12.

The first week’s games will be held at New Iberia Senior High on June 7. June 14 games will be at West St. Mary High School, while June 21 games are scheduled for Westgate High School. On June 28, Jeanerette Senior High will play host to the three games.

Hanson Memorial will be the host site for July 10 games, while Franklin Senior High will be the home site for the July 12 games.

The June 7 schedule features Franklin against Jeanerette at 5:30 p.m., West St. Mary vs. New Iberia at 6:30 p.m. and Westgate against New Iberia at 7:30 p.m.

On June 14, Jeanerette plays Westgate at 5:30 p.m., New Iberia faces Hanson at 6:30 and West St. Mary plays Franklin at 7:30.

The June 21 schedule opens with Hanson against Franklin at 5:30 p.m., followed by New Iberia against Jeanerette at 6:30 and Westgate against West St. Mary at 7:30.

On June 28, Franklin plays New Iberia at 5:30 p.m., Hanson takes on Westgate at 6:30 and West St. Mary faces Jeanerette at 7:30.

The July 10 slate opens with Franklin taking on Westgate at 5:30 p.m., followed by New Iberia against West St. Mary at 6:30 and Jeanerette against Hanson at 7:30.

July 12th’s games start with Hanson playing West St. Mary at 5:30 p.m., New Iberia against Westgate at 6:30 and Jeanerette against Franklin at 7:30.
