Enola DeBlanc Sias

LOREAUVILLE — Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Enola DeBlanc Sias, 100 years old, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday August 1, 2012, at Journet & Bolden Funeral Home in New Iberia, with visitation beginning at 7 a.m. and the rosary recitation at 9 a.m. The services will be officiated by Msgr. Ronald Broussard. Internment will follow at St. Edward Cemetery in New Iberia.

Mrs. Sias was born and raised in Olivier and resided in Loreauville until her death on Saturday, July 28, 2012.

She is survived by a daughter Susie Sias Simon, who took care of her with joy in her heart; four grandchildren Jocelin Sias, Monica Simon Horn, Keith Simon and Rosalyn Simon Pennier; She also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild; one daughter-in-law Lawrence Norman DeBlanc; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss her love, wit, humor, knowledge, wisdom and positive focus on life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emous Sias; a daughter Joyce Sias Taylor; her parents, David and Theresa Landry DeBlanc; five sisters Alzina Seymour, Wilda Robinson, Berita Scott, Mildred Rochon and Iola; four stepbrothers David DeBlanc and Wallace DeBlanc; and one grandson-in-law Carlton Pennier.

Pallbearers will be family members.
