Cook ‘Em! 2012 Championship Event Wows Community.

The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce showed residents and visitors a top-notch time at the World Championship Gumbo Cook-Off, held Oct. 12-14 in downtown New Iberia. Ninety-six teams competed as amateurs or professionals in chicken and sausage, seafood and mélange categories. Says GICC President Janet Faulk-Gonzales, “It was a great weekend for our community, we had a great crowd, good weather, and the gumbo was super.
