King Kenny LeJeune and Queen Jenny Toups enjoy the Downtown Business Association event Wednesday.

The royalty has been announced, which means the Downtown Business Association  is ready to share its yuletide spirit along Main Street at 6 p.m. on Nov. 27.

King Kenny LeJeune and Queen Jenny Toups were named Wednesday night during a dinner at Cafe des Amis. Last year’s king and queen were Taylor Barras and Gail Boudreaux.

The annual Christmas Parade will include area bands, dance teams, floats and a visit from the jolly man in the red suit himself.  

Eight exchange students who arrived from Spain to New Iberia on Tuesday will particpate in the parade. It will be one of their first American holiday experiences.
