Grant Cavalier was honored as an outstanding graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s December commencement exercises.

Cavalier, a graduate of Catholic High School and the son of Dave III and Lynn Cavalier, was one of only three Summa Cum Laude graduates from the College of Engineering to be honored.

Cavalier’s honor was based on grade point average as well as recommendations from the Mechanical Engineering faculty. He has applied for Ph.D. programs and has received an offer from UCLA, where he studied this past summer.
