Robert Lancon, a senior at Highland Baptist Christian School, was the recipient of the Alice Gates Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was given by the New Iberia Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

He is the son of Louis and Patty Lancon of Jeanerette.
