The Jeanerette Chamber of Commerce is offering businesses and entrepreneurs the opportunity to increase their business knowledge through an hour long business seminar. The seminar will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28 at the Ward Eight Recreation Center located at 803 Hubertville Road in Jeanerette.

The first seminar, in a series of seminars that the Jeanerette Chamber is hosting to help business owners will be on Public Relations and Facebook. The seminar is also sponsored by the First National Bank of Jeanerette. Gail Garcia, an award winning public relations and program coordinator will discuss public relations opportunities that businesses may be missing. She will give tips and practical solutions that businesses can put to use to keep them on the mind of consumers.

Phaedra Stockstill, CEO/Founder of South Louisiana eConsulting, will discuss how to build a business presence in the digital world as she discusses Facebook. With over 70,000 individual Facebook accounts in the area, she will show business owners how they can build a customer base and attract interest using a Facebook page. Ms. Stockstill has over 15 years of experience in online marketing, social media marketing and eCommerce.

 The Jeanerette Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer this first seminar to businesses at the cost of $10 per person.
