Caneview Elementary 4-H Club held its meeting on Dec. 11, 2012. The American pledge was said by Jeanette Arton, and the 4-H pledge was said by Jada Vicnair. Mrs. Mindy Hotard, 4-H agent, discussed the clover chatter and passed out ribbons for Fall Fun Day.

People with ribbons at Fall Fun Day for participation in the workshops are Jeanette Arton, Kody Arton, Avery Derounen, Jessie Breaux and Shelby Viator. The winners for the cookery contest were Kody Arton, Blue Ribbon and Grand Champion rice dessert and Jeanette Arton, fourth place ribbon – confetti rice shrimp pot pie.

In the Bike Rodeo Kody Arton had a fourth place ribbon – 4-6 grade. Blue Ribbon were given to Avery Derounen, Jessie Breaux and Shelby Vitter for the Bike Rodeo. Community service was to still collect canned goods for the food drive. Demonstration was given by Avery Derounen and Kody Arton on “How to make mice candy canes.”

They ended the meeting with a Christmas party.
