CHS team wins middle school tourney

Catholic High School’s seventh- and eighth-grade softball team, above, recently won the middle school softball tournament at the Louisiana PepperPlex. Eight Teche Area middle school teams took part in the two-day event March 22-23. It featured some of the top teams in the area, according to a tournament spokesman, and teams outside the area have committed to the event next year.
