Franklin Senior High graduating 95 Friday

FRANKLIN — Ninety-five students will graduate from Franklin Senior High School during a 6 p.m. ceremony Friday where eight students will lead the class with a Summa distinction.
Taylor Michelle Arcemont, daughter of Michelle Dugas and Jonathon Arcemont, will graduate with a 3.8 GPA and will attend South Louisiana Community College, where she plans to major in practical nursing to become a licensed practical nurse.

Arcemont will receive the TOPS scholarship. While in high school she participated in cheerleading for two years, 4-H Club for two years and National Honor Society four years. She also was the baseball manager for one year.
Nicole Crow, daughter of Paul and Joanne Crow, will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and will attend Northwestern State University in the fall, where she plans to major in business administration and minor in French.
Crow was a member of the cheerleading team during her junior year, has been a member of the National Honor Society for three years and has been a member of the theater program for four years.
Jada Patrice Davis, daughter of Ida Davis-Borel and Robert Davis, will graduate with a 3.9 GPA and will attend Nicholls State University, where she plans to major in nursing.
Davis has received the Nicholls Diversity Leadership scholarship, Franklin Rotary Club scholarship and two additional scholarships for competing in a MLK advocacy competition sponsored by the National Bar Association. She also has won the 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish Black History essay contest for three consecutive years.
Davis was active in managing the volleyball and baseball teams, cheerleading, FBLA, Del-Leaders, Freshmen Mentor, Rally Team, National Honor Society, and she was on the Honor Roll four years.

Brandon Gorman, son of David and Lisa Gorman, will graduate with a 3.8 GPA and plans to attend University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he will major in mechanical engineering. Gorman was a three-year member of the National Honor Society.
Desiree Renee Marcotte, daughter of Billy and Judith Marcotte, will graduate with a 3.8 GPA. Marcotte plans to attend South Central Louisiana Technical College, where she plans to major in business administration.
Annabel Picard, daughter of James and Rebecca Picard, will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and will attend ULL, where she plans to major in mechanical engineering.
Picard has received the ULL centennial scholarship, TOPS Honors scholarship, St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce scholarship and the Ray P. Authement Valedictorian scholarship.
Picard’s extracurricular activities include Future Farmers of America, National Honor Society, 4-H Club, Rally Team and the Rocket Team.
Kaitlin Janay Randle, daughter of the Rev. Allen and Pamela Randle, will graduate with a 4.0 GPA. In the fall she will be attending Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she plans to major in pre-physical therapy with a minor in athletic training.
Randle has received several scholarships including three Baylor University scholarships, one of which is the President’s Gold Scholarship, the Hilcorp scholarship, Franklin Rotary Club scholarship, Wendel Henry Foundation scholarship and the National Honors Society Judith Morris Memorial scholarship with a combined total of $124,000.
Randle was named a Franklin Senior High School Shining Star and the Cox Cable Student of the Week. She has been active in the varsity cheerleading squad and was captain of the squad two years. She also was manager for the volleyball and baseball team, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America Club, Insight Club, theatre program and a Literary Rally participant.
Becca Robison, daughter of Cherrise Picard and Timothy Robison, will graduate with a 3.9 GPA and will attend Louisiana State University, where she plans to major in sports medicine to become a physical therapist.
While in high school, Robison was a member of National Honor Society, 4-H Club, mentoring program, AHEC of a Summer program and the theatre program. She also was a manager for the volleyball, softball, football and basketball teams.
