Kendra Lockhart, who enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in New Iberia, completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S. C. and graduated on May 10.

Lockhart learned a variety of military-related subjects designed to create the moral and discipline required of all Marines.

She is the daughter of Sara Lockhart of Youngsville, was enlisted by SSgt Michael Skolasky from Recruiting Substation New Iberia .
