South Louisiana swaggerbr

You know that person who walks into a party and grabs everyone’s attention without saying anything? The same one who everyone is whispering about and smiling over their drinks? Yeah, that’s called swagger, and that what Lafayette’s food scene has right now.

It’s kinda like that scene in “

Stir Crazy

” where Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder first walk into prison.

Lafayette’s most recent feathers in its cap includes

Rand McNally’s 2012 Best of the Road—Small Towns

, and

Southern Living’s 2012 Tastiest Town of the South.

Not to mention a visit from

Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations

TV show as well as Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods.

To quote a line from the above mentioned movie, “That’s right we bad…we bad…uh huh…uh huh.”
