The Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival & Fair Association’s 2013 Stars of Style fundraiser featured 19 community leaders wearing the latest fashions, all for a good cause—the annual Saturday Children’s Parade, part of the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival activities held every year in New Iberia. 

Stars of Style was held at the Cade Community Center in St. Martin Parish, where $80,000 was generated from sponsorships, ticket sales and live auctions. Four hundred fifty-six people dined on filet mignon topped with crab cake, served next to fresh asparagus and praline sweet potato, with meringue topped bread pudding for dessert from Peltier’s Catering. 

The 2013 Stars included Debi Gaspard Harry, Derek Hebert, Elizabeth Minvielle, Blake Miguez, Debbie Mills, Michael Barras, Monique DeCourt, Brooke Duncan, Ronilaine Gonsoulin, Keith Romero, Lindsey Valls, Ryan Turner, Krystal Lewis, Rodney Simoneaux, Tisché Boudreaux-André, Larry Hensgens, Natalie Lopez-Robin, Guy Cormier and Brook Fremin.
