Meyers crowned mini queen in world pageant

M’kalia Meyers of New Iberia was crowned the World’s Universal Beauty Mini Queen in the 7-9 year division of the 2014 Our Little Miss World’s Universal Beauty Scholarship Competition.

She also was the Livin’ Doll Queen first alternate in the 7-9 year division.

The competition was held recently at the Embassy Suites and Confernce Center in San Marco, Texas.

Hundreds of contestants from all over the country, and different parts of the world, gathered to compete for the coveted World’s Universal Beauty titles.

All age divisions competed in Close-up Appraisal, Sportswear, Team OLM/Playtime with the Judges and Party Dress/Evening Gown. Contestants were judged on their poise, stage presence, facial beauty and ability to answer questions both on stage and in the private interview.
