Funeral Services for Brian Paul Stockstill, age 36, will be held on Saturday April 12, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Assembly Christian Center, 4201 East Admiral Doyle Dr., New Iberia, with Reverend Paul Neel to officiate the service. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will begin on Saturday April 12, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Assembly Christian Center and conclude at 12:45 p.m. before the services begin.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Brian was an electrician with Malcolm Migues Electric Co. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Brian was a hard worker and loved children. He also loved animals, especially his dogs Jezebel and Big John. Brian had a good heart, was a good Christian and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Donald and Paula Brightwell Stockstill, of New Iberia; brother Sean Stockstill and his wife, Rikki, of New Iberia; sisters Kimberly Stockstill LaBiche and her husband, Mike, of New Iberia and Mitzi Stockstill of New Iberia; nieces Katie LaBiche Wattigny and her husband, Scott, of New Iberia and Sydney LaBiche of New Iberia.

He is also survived by his aunt Jessica Brightwell Parker of Longview, Texas; great-aunt Bessie Landry of New Iberia; cousins Andrea Nall and her husband, Kevin, of Waco, Texas, Stacey Perkins and her husband, Clay, of Longview, Texas, and Kevin Stockstill and his wife, Jenny, of Broussard; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special friend Sarah Broussard, whom he loved.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Jane Stockstill; and maternal grandparents, William Paul Brightwell and Evelyn “Midge” Brightwell.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Sean Stockstill, Kevin Stockstill, Mike LaBiche, Jake Boudreaux, Brandon Boudreaux, John Curry, Scott Wattigny, Jared Williamson and Nick Schram.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s honor can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
