ARLINGTON, Va. — More than 150 Republican women leaders from across the nation gathered at the National Federation of Republican Women’s spring board meeting in Arlington, Va., recently to dispel the notion of a “War on Women” and to prepare for the 2014 elections.

In preparation for the elections, attendees JoAnn Parker and Heidi Martin of New Iberia heard from representatives of the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee on the election landscape. Parker, who is chair of the NFRW Fundraising Committee and Martin, Vice-Chair of that committee, introduced a new twist on fundraising by declaring a push to put the “fun” back into fundraising.
