NISH students sweep Kiwanis Club scholarships

The New Iberia Kiwanis Club recently awarded three $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in Iberia Parish.
This year’s recipients of the scholarships were Megan Woods, Kelsey Frederick and Kelly Perez.
Megan is the daughter of Michael and Bonnie Woods. She graduated from New Iberia Senior High School and will be attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette this fall and intends to major in Biology-Pre-Med, with an eye to eventually attending medical school.
Kelsey is the daughter of Lori Frederick. Kelsey, who graduated from New Iberia Senior High School, will be attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where she will begin working toward a career as a registered nurse anesthetist.
Kelley, daughter of Ann and David Perez, was president of the Senior Class at New Iberia Senior High School. This fall, Kelley will begin her studies at ULL, and would like to eventually obtain a master’s degree in nursing.
