Fields named Rotary president

Lennie Fields

Lennie Fields was recently installed as president of the Rotary Club of New Iberia.

Fields is a graduate of the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, Philippines, with a degree in political science.

She has been employed with IberiaBank for 18 and a half years and is a member of the Iberia Chamber of Commerce Leadership No. 16 group.

She is married to Danny Fields Jr. and is the mother of Addison Gabriel Fields, 11.

Other officers installed were Stephanie Moore, vice president, Dan LeBlanc Sr., secretary, Ryan Huval, treasurer and Larry Richard, president-elect. Jere Cooper is immediate past president.

Jones graduates basic training

Air Force Airman 1st Class D’andre J. Jones graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jones is the son of Chiquita R. Marks of Jeanerette and Terrance L. Jones Sr. of St. Louis, of Jeanerette.
