BATON ROUGE — The Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center has selected DeLane Ross as the new assistant area agent of Agriculture and Natural Resources for St. Martin and Iberia parishes.

As the assistant area agent, Ross’ responsibilities include providing non-formal education in agriculture and related areas to agriculture producers and farmer families. The Woodville, Mississippi, native earned a degree in Agricultural Sciences with a focus on Animal Science from Southern University and A&M College.
