Romero — Robichaux

Candace Meredith Romero and Michael Stephen Robichaux were married Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas LeMaire of Lafayette and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Romero of Loreauville. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Lonnie Robichaux of New Iberia.

The Rev. Brian Taylor officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her father and stepfather, the bride wore a regal satin trumpet gown with a heavy beaded pearl and crystal V-neckline. The back of the gown was finished with a plunging deep V-back line, a jeweled tie and regal satin and crystal buttons extending to the end of the chapel train. The gown featured a tulle and crystal cathedral train.

Serving as matron of honor was Alister Charrier, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Meghan Breaux, Jamie LeBourgeois, Camille Babineaux, Mia Romero, Krista Robichaux and Margaret Bunting.

Flower girl was Meredith Norris, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was Noah Robichaux, nephew of the groom.

Serving as best man was Taylor Robichaux, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Breaux, William Landry, Jason Charrier, Phillip Smith, Samuel Robichaux and Dr. Andrew Robichaux.

Jeremy Bunting and Mathew Bernard served as ushers.

Other members of the wedding party included Roland Robichaux, Phillip Smith, Melinda Bernard and Brenda Oubre.

A reception for family and friends was held at City Club in River Ranch in Lafayette.

Following a wedding trip to the island of Antigua, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
