A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ervin “Paw-Paw” “Daddy Ervin” Knatt 83, at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Loreauville, with Fr. Paul Onuegbe celebrant.

He will await the resurrection at All Saint Cemetery in Loreauville.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until with a Rosary recited at 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A native and resident of Loreauville, he passed away at 1:12 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2105, at Iberia Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church where he served as an usher.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Martha Williams Knatt, of Loreauville; four sons Paul Ervin Knatt Sr.(Debra) of New Iberia, John Francis Knatt Sr. (Sandra) of Saint Martinville, Jason James Knatt Sr. (Amanda) and Anthony Frank Knatt Sr.(Bonnie) both of Loreauville; nine daughters Bernadette Elaine Knatt, Shirley Ann Knatt, Sandra Marie Zacharie (Joseph), Beverly Marie Anthony (Joseph), Marla Ann Knatt, Carol Ann White (Sanford T. Sr.), Lisa Knatt, and Abigail Knatt all of Loreauville, and Bridget Denise Knatt of Madison, Alabama; thirty nine grandchildren, with two special grandchildren he reared Amber Nicole Hills and Jawaan Damarcus Eabair; forty one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers Robert Jones (Annette) and John Parker Knatt Jr. of Loreauville, and Johnny Knatt (Pam ) of Atlanta; four sisters Madeline Alexander, Etta Rose Jefferson and Myrtle Olivier (Jules) all of Loreauville and Margaret J. Broussard of Crosby, Texas; special niece Margaret Williams; as well as other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Parker Knatt Sr. and Virgin Jefferson; three sons Brian Keith Knatt, Mark Anthony Knatt and Jason Hendricks Knatt; one daughter Mia Shadell Knatt; four grandchildren Paul Ervin Knatt Jr., Mark Anthony Knatt, Braden M. Zacharie and Jodeci E. Knatt; two brothers Avery Knatt Sr.(Lois) and Perry Knatt; and two sisters Mary Dell Knatt Williams and Pecola Knatt.

Active pallbearers will be James Allen Knatt, Peyton Earl Knatt Sr., Julius Parker Knatt, Lorenzo Blake Anthony, Sanford T. White Jr. and Ashton Paul Knatt.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Francis Knatt, Paul Ervin Knatt Sr., Jason James Knatt Sr., Sanford Todd White Sr., Joseph Lawrence Zacharie, Joseph Milton Anthony and Robert Allen Jones.
