Jacqueline LaFleur

Jacqueline “Jackie” LaFleur passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 15, 2015, surrounded by her family. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia.

Born in Eunice on July 31, 1935, she was raised in Durald. She lived most of her adult life in Jennings, working in the insurance business and raising her children, before moving to New Iberia later in life. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard and being around people.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 58 years, Paul; one son Thomas LaFleur and wife, Debbie, of Crowley; two daughters Denise Haydel and husband Bill, of New Iberia and Nancy Roy of Breaux Bridge; six grandchildren Annie Hebert and husband, Christopher, Carlee, Samantha and Daniel Roy, Martha Trahan and husband, Casey, and Maegan LaFleur; 4 great-grandchildren; and her sister Larry Mae Fontenot of Baton Rouge.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Willard and Marie Martha (Hargroder) Manuel; her sister Diane Arnaud Fuselier; and brother Archie Manuel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Heart of Hospice, Lafayette.
