St. Martinville Mayor Thomas Nelson, left, recently joined Anne Hidalgo, mayor of Paris, France, and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu at a meeting of the Association of Internationale des Maires Francophones, the International Association of French-speaking mayors, in Lafayette and New Orleans. French-speaking mayors from all over the world, including Louisiana, attended the meeting.
