St. Blanc, Adams, Trosclair to lead Hanson Class of 2015

FRANKLIN — Hanson Memorial High School’s Class of 2015, which will be led by Caitlin Elizabeth St. Blanc, Kalyn Elizabeth Adams and Jerry Jerome Trosclair Jr., will graduate in a ceremony at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Church of Assumption.
Forty-five seniors are scheduled to graduate in this class. St. Blanc is the valedictorian while Adams and Trosclair are the co-salutatorians.
St. Blanc is the daughter of Vincent and Tabitha St. Blanc. She is a distinguished honor graduate with a 4.0 GPA.
She was Student of the Year and a recipient of the Torch of Knowledge Award, as well as a member of the National Honor Society. She was a four-year participant on the Literary Rally team. She was in the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s Honors Program and earned the President’s Volunteer for Service Award.
She competed in track and field and participated in the Hugh O’Brien Leadership Camp and Trailblazer Camp.
After graduation, St. Blanc plans to major in nursing at ULM, where she received a $26,000 scholarship. She also has a TOPS scholarship.
Adams, the daughter of Mark Adams and Kay and Jerry Frost, was a National Honor Society president and class officer all four years at Hanson. She has received the Torch of Knowledge Award, an Academic Letter and class medals in geometry, Algebra II, biology and English III. She had a GPA of 3.966.
She was a cheerleader and a Pro-Life member.
After graduation, Adams plans to major in speech at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Trosclair is the son of Jerry and Mary Ann Trosclair.
He earned an Academic Letter three years and for four years received the Torch of Knowledge Award. He was a Literary Rally Participant four years and three times won the District Literary Rally, also winning two years at the State Literary Rally. He finished with a 3.966 GPA.
He was a member of the Quiz Bowl team, the football team and was a football team manager. He also was a baseball announcer.
After graduation, Trosclair plans to major in computer information systems at Nicholls State University. He earned the following scholarships: NSU – $35,568; ULL – $15,760; ULM – $45,777; LSU – $8,000, and TOPS – $19,689.12.
