Fire Department Awards Scholar

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department announced the 2015 E. Louis Boudreaux Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to Allis Armato, a graduating senior at Berwick High School. She maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her four years and achieved many honors for her studies and extracurricular activities. In the fall she will begin her studies to become a nurse practitioner.

Franklin Volunteer Fire Department President Toddy Boudreaux said the scholarship was established in honor and memory of E. “Louis” Boudreaux, a member of the Franklin Fire Department for more than 20 years who recently passed. Louis was a dedicated firefighter that help guide the fire service of St. Mary Parish for many years.
