Sheriff’s Office Honors Graduate

FRANKLIN — St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert presented the 2015 Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Scholarship to Jandrenique Taylor, a senior at West St. Mary High School, during an awards ceremony last week. The goal of the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Scholarship Program is to provide assistance to worthy Louisiana students in furthering their education and training with resources made available through the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Honorary Membership Program.

This scholarship program is an investment in the future and an investment in the residents of the communities we serve. The recipient was chosen from among 60 St. Mary Parish high school seniors who applied for the award. Taylor plans to attend Louisiana State University and major in International Trade and Business with the goal of becoming an international entrepreneur who will provide jobs and services to her community.
