White is National Award Recipient

LOREAUVILLE — Loreauville High School student Kwanza Sheree White has been named a United States National Award Winner in foreign language, honor roll, speech and drama, dance, Beta and National Honors Society by the United States Achievement Academy. White was nominated by her counselor Andrea LeBlanc.

The Academy selects USAA winners upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and other qualified sponsors and upon the Standards of Selection at the Academy. The criteria for selection are a student’s academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, citizenship, attitude and cooperative spirit, dependability and recommendations from a qualified sponsor.

White is the daughter of April and Arthur White and the granddaughter of Nora James and the Late Albert James Jr. of Loreauville and Lorby White Sr. and the late Ella White of Olivier.
