Father's Day Salute

The measure of a man is not by the dollars in the bank, the biological makeup of paternity or the number of toys he collects. If a picture paints a thousand words, the one of Richard Taylor and his son Charlie is the epitome of fatherhood. A recent transplant to New Iberia, having been honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, Taylor leaves on Father’s Day for employment back in Alaska, none found in the area they now call home. To all who are called daddy, pop, papa, grandaddy or other endearing name, may you enjoy today’s spotlight.
