Dayne Charles Holleman

Dayne Charles Holleman passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at his residence in New Iberia, at the age of 89.

Dayne was born July 14, 1926, in New Iberia to the late Morris and Rosie Holleman. Mr. Holleman was a WWII veteran of the Merchant Marines.

Survivors include his children Bonnie Holleman and husband, Herbert Provost, of New Iberia, Susan Arton Alexander and husband, Fred Alexander, of Lafayette and Roy Holleman and wife, Kim Holleman, of New Iberia; grandchildren Lisa Courville, Tye Camacho, Michael Arton, Jennifer Bauder, Benjamin Richard and Andrew Holleman; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers Lynn “Nee” Holleman and James Holleman.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Edna Darby Holleman; and one brother Jack Holleman.

Mr. Holleman was gracious enough to donate his body to LSU Health Science Center for the advancement of medical research. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held.
