Derise — Derouen

Charli Rhea Derise and Jeffrey Michael Derouen were married Saturday, March 19, 2016, at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville. The bride is the daughter of Margarette W. Derise of Delcambre and Mr. and Mrs. William Paul Derise of Houston. The groom is the son of Yvonne LeBlanc Derouen of New Iberia and the late Timothy James Derouen.

Deacon Joseph Hebert officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a shantung silk trumpet gown featuring a heavily beaded illusion scoop neckline, cap sleeves and a jeweled belt. The chapel train was adorned with jeweled and fabric buttons and jeweled shoes.

For her headpiece, she wore a blusher veil accented with an elaborate comb of rhinestone floral vines and freshwater pearls complemented by rhinestone filigree pendant errings.

She carried a bouquet of orange, cream and peach roses, light pink and white ranunculus, cream frushia, blue thistle, hot pink zinnias, cream hydrangea and various colored succulents. Intertwined into her bouquet was her late grandmother’s crystal rosary with pictures of her late grandparents and the groom’s late father.

Serving as matron of honor was Lauren Barras and as maid of honor was Olivia Vaughn. Bridesmaids were Markell Ayo, cousin of the bride, Nicole D. Eastin, sister of the groom, Alyson Matthews, Ashley Harrington, Kristian Duhon, Hailey Chriss and Melissa McNaughton. Flower girl was Anna Claire Marie Eastin, niece of the groom. Ring bearers were Louis Pierre Derise, nephew of the bride, and Henry Joseph Eastin, nephew of the groom.

Serving as best man was Tyler Barras. Groomsmen were Boyer Derise and Jackson Derise, brothers of the bride, Teddy Eastin, brother-in-law of the groom, Ben Granger, Mark Landry, Allen Patout, Carlos Levy and Matt Valls.

Robert Guerra, Jake Randazzo and Trey Landry served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at La Pavilion in Parc Lafayette.

Following a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
