Monte — Myers

Geneé Elizabeth Monte and Joey Thomas Myers were married Friday, April 22, 2016, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of Keith and Debra Monte of New Iberia and Jerry and Stacy Bustamante of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Kirk and Tina Romero of New Iberia and Troy Myers and Sybil Maddocks of Coteau.

The Rev. Edward Degeyter officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride wore a full lace mermaid gown highlighted with Alencon ivory-colored lace covering the bodice and trailing down the skirt overlaying a light gold lining. Buttons trailed to the tip of a semi-cathedral train finished with scalloped hem lace.

For her headpiece, the bride wore an ivory-colored fingertip veil and blusher trimmed with soft pink beads, pearls and crystals.

She carried a bouquet of ivory-colored silk roses with baby’s breath, pearls and crystals.

Serving as matron of honor was Jennifer Broussard and as maid of honor was Jenee Rodrigue Romero. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Myers, Cherime Roberts and Amanda Bustamante. Flower girls were Jaselin Monte and Morgan Monte. Ring bearer was Laythan Monte.

Serving as best man was Jeremy Wapnarski. Groomsmen were Jason Armentor, David Richard, John Temple, Brandon Monte and Brennan Monte.

Brody Love and Dustin Romero served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at Harold Landry Memorial Building in Loreauville.

Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, the couple will reside in New Iberia.
