The New Iberia Rotary Club welcomed area seniors to its meeting May 13 to present the “Chris Daily/J.P. Thibodeaux Scholarship” awarded by New Iberia Rotary Club. Criteria used for the awards were the students’ involvement in their school, church, family, community and their academic achievement.

A total of $750 was presented to each of the following students: Yves Hamilton, Westgate High School, Jewel Guidry, Assembly Christian School, Debra Brown, New Iberia Senior High School, Cassie Dugas, Loreauville High School, Cameron Broussard, Delcambre High School, Nicholas Viator, Catholic High School, Tangjermeka Londo, Jeanerette High School, and Sarah Denton, Highland Baptist Christian School. Iberia Parish President Larry Richard, president of the Iberia Rotary Club, was there for the presentations.
