The players are now moving on to college, the work force, the military or for their senior year in high school, the coach said.
“This team has been through good times and bad,” Gary said. “I have really enjoyed the ride. It has been a joy to watch these guys turn into good players and great young men.”
Team members this year were Jonathan Babineaux, Devin Broussard, Aaron Comeaux, Brandon Dewey, Trace Gary, Tucker Gibbs, Alex Glover, Devon Kattavilavong, Kaleb Leon, Zachary Parsons, Brett Pichoff, Hunter Sargent, Seth Schouest, Michael Tarantino, Eli Theriot, Jacob Carline, Cy Kipp and Fernando Santos.
Dewey, Gary, Glover, Leon, Pichoff, Schouest and Kipp have been on every Rebels team since U12 and won a U15 State Championship, were U13 State Finalists, won numerous tournament championships and competed in two Region 3 President’s Cups.
Past Rebels players include Dylan Dugas, Cameron Durocher, Adam Mannina, L.A. Leblanc, Andy Mejia, Drake Bergeron, Jack Germany, Nicholas Viator, JT Migues, Ty Guillotte and Logan Aucoin.
“I want to thank Kirk Leon, Sonny Pichoff and Brent Durocher for all their (coaching) help over the years,” Glen Gary said. “A special thanks goes out to my wife, Monica, and all of our (players’) parents. It has been really special and more like a family. Rebel Family Forever!”
