It takes a unique accumulation of individuals to create a community as diverse and tight knit as Acadiana. This month, we celebrate the women who give of themselves to make sure every member of the region is cared for and that Acadiana continues to grow and progress. This serves as the 13th Annual Women Making A Difference feature. Each year, the honorees prove that they are perpetuating the gracious and giving nature exhibited by those honored the pervious year. Our 8 honorees are a potpourri of humanitarians, philanthropists, do gooders, movers and shakers. Their paths are varied. But their end goals are the same – to create a strong and progressive community to be upheld for years to come.
