Bernard — Cormier

Ahrana Lula Bernard and Jamar Jay Cormier were married Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at El Chile Verde Ballroom in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of the late Annette Marie Bernard. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Curry Sr. of New Iberia.

Justice of the Peace Cardell Bowser Ina officiated the ceremony.

The bride wore a duchess satin gown with sweetheart pleated bodice detailed by crystals and rhinestones highlighting a satin flower and tufted skirt and chapel train.

For her headpiece, she wore a rhinestone tiara.

She carried a silk nosegay bouquet of Navy-blue open roses, sunflowers and greenery accented with rhinestones.

Serving as matron of honor was Charlotte St. Julien and as maid of honor was Danette Bernard. Bridesmaids were Danaeisjah Bernard, Daesha Johnson, Danae Bernard and Mahogany M. Armstead. Flower girl was Bria Bernard.

Serving as best men were Brian Wiltz and Tony St. Julien. Groomsmen were Peter Robinson, De’Mania Curry, Dareyarn Bernard, Rachaud Anderson and Rashawn Bernard.

A reception for family and friends was held at El Chile Verde Ballroom in New Iberia.

Following a wedding trip to Atlanta, Georgia, the couple will reside in St. Martinville.
