Sapienza — Credeur

Sarah Amelia Sapienza and Adam Russell Credeur were married Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. The bride is the daughter of Paul Richard Sapienza and Carla Ortega Sapienza of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Becky Axtell DeJean of Lafayette and Mel L. Credeur of Lafayette.

The Rev. Chester Arceneaux and Rev. Patrick Broussard officiated the ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sheath dress accented with a V-neckline and pearl encrusted spaghetti straps. The gown was adorned with crystals, pearls and sequins down the tulle and lace skirt. The plunging scoop back featured pearl buttons and a chapel train

For her headpiece, she wore a fingertip veil.

She carried a bouquet of whimsical soft-white flowers and greenery with subtle hints of pink accenting fully opened white garden roses and spray roses dotted with pale pink tulips on a background of jasmine and eucalyptus.

Serving as matron of honor was Bethany Romero Sapienza, sister-in-law of the bride, and maid of honor was Mia Frances Sapienza, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Talley Phillips, Emily Gautreau Bowen, Kelcie Michel Freyou, Stephanie Claire DeRouen, Morgan Nicole Blanchard and Cameron Craddock Switzenberg. Flower girls were Amelie Louise Bergeron and Kate Boulet, godchild of the groom.

Serving as best man was Parker Mitchell. Groomsmen were Andrew Hebert, Brent Goodyear, Nicholas Charles Sapienza, brother of the bride, Eric Trahan, Roland Eveland, William Casanova and Peter Boulet Jr.

Matthew Scott Goulas, Matthew Long, Daniel Ryder, Jason Boulet and Miles Foreman served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at Le Pavillion in Lafayette.

Following a wedding trip to Sicily, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
