Doerle seeking second term as mayor pro tem

New Iberia Mayor Pro Tem Dan Doerle will be seeking a second term in this November’s election. 

According to a prepared statement, Doerle is a lifelong resident of New Iberia and owner of Doerle’s Heating and Cooling, a 42-year-old family business in New Iberia. 

He has served as mayor pro tem for 3.5 years and served on the New Iberia City Council for District 6 from 1998 to 2008. 

Doerle said he will “continue to bring a business approach and do what needs to be done by working for solutions to the tough decisions facing us in the near future.”

“My 14 years of experience in city government will be beneficial in helping the next mayor and city council hit the ground running for the betterment of New Iberia,” he said. 

Doerle is married to the former Gina Bernard and is father to Jason and Allison Doerle. 

He is step-father to Brittany and Ginger DeGravelle.
